Several students choose CCCU and the experience of living in Canterbury for its London-like vibrant community but comparatively inexpensive costs. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the charm of the city adds to the allure of CCCU, which is less than an hour from Central London. For these reasons it is the university of choice for students seeking quality education in South East England.

The city of Canterbury itself is one of the most vibrant cities in England and has a charming blend of a historical and cosmopolitan vibe.
A positive feature of CCCU is the constant investment to update and build new campus facilities. In 2019, they opened the new Creative Arts Building to support and facilitate artistic professionals. Most prominently, they are opening their new campus building in September 2020, consisting of larger, modern infrastructure, designed with the latest technology.
Canterbury Christ Church University prioritizes sports and encourages their students to participate in sports activities and competitions. They offer sports scholarships to about 40 athletes each year. In addition to the existing city-based facilities like the sports and gym studios and the playing arenas at Stodmarsh, the University has invested in a novel indoor sports centre and teaching space for students and members. Within this they have developed a High-Tech Sports Lab with the latest exercise and physical analysis machines. The CCCU has partnerships with several sport clubs and institutes, including the Polo Farm Sports Club. This University is the major sponsor for the Kent Women’s Cricket Team as well.
The social sports services CCCU offers to students include gym and exercise classes, basketball, tennis, climbing, badminton etc. Besides these, a student may join sports courses conducted by the university.
