The University of Bath received its royal charter in the year 1966 and has been renowned for its world class research and teaching facilities. The University is located at Claverton Down, a beautiful site overlooking the city of Bath. The sprawling campus has a huge Library and Learning Centre that is open round the clock. The campus also has restaurants, bars, two banks, a union shop and also a supermarket available to students and staff. The university is focussed on technology, engineering, physical sciences and mathematics. The University has further built its strength in management, humanities, architecture as well as the social sciences. Currently the University of Bath is ranked 9th by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021 and has also been ranked 6th in the UK by the Guardian University Guide 2021.
